Manuscript Review

Editorial Procedures and Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts received by the Editorial Office will be checked by a professional in-house Managing Editor or subject specialists to determine whether they are properly prepared and comply with the ethical policies of the journal.

Manuscripts that do not adhere to the journal's ethical policies or fail to meet its standards will be rejected before the peer-review stage.

Every original article is reviewed by at least one or more national and at least one or more international reviewers. Case reports, editorial views, and review articles are reviewed by at least one or more national or international reviewers.

0Anaesthesia, Pain & Intensive Care follows a double-blind review process for original research articles, review articles, and case reports or case series. Editorial views and other types of submissions are reviewed using a single-blind method.

Reviewer Suggestions

During the submission process, please suggest four potential reviewers in the relevant field: two international (from academically or industrially advanced countries) and two national reviewers with a strong research and innovation background. The editors are not obligated to contact the suggested reviewers. Please provide detailed contact information (address, homepage, phone number, and email address).

Proposed referees should not be current collaborators of any co-authors or have published with them within the past two years. They should also be from institutions different from those of the authors. You may suggest reviewers whose work you have cited in your manuscript.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Manuscripts that are not properly prepared will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission. After these checks, the Managing Editor will consult the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, or an Editorial Board member (in case of a conflict of interest) to determine whether the manuscript fits the scope of the journal and whether it is scientifically sound. No judgment on the significance or potential impact of the work will be made at this stage. Rejection decisions at this stage will be verified by the Editor-in-Chief.

For Authors

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the manuscript at the time of submission. Examples include (but are not limited to) financial relationships affiliations, or personal relationships that could influence the research.

All disclosures must be included in a Conflict of Interest Statement at the end of the manuscript.

If there are no conflicts, authors should explicitly state:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

For Reviewers

Reviewers must recuse themselves if they have any personal or professional conflict with the authors or content of the manuscript. Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions objectively and confidentially.

For Editors

Editors must declare any potential conflicts of interest with a submitted manuscript and, if necessary, delegate editorial responsibilities to another qualified editor.

English Correction

To facilitate a proper peer-review process, it is essential that the manuscript be written in grammatically correct English. If you are not a native English speaker, we recommend that you have your manuscript professionally edited before submission or reviewed by a native English-speaking colleague. All accepted manuscripts undergo language editing; however, if extensive corrections are required, an additional fee will be charged. The corresponding author will be informed of the fee structure based on the level of editing required.
