Prof. Syed Tipu Sultan, DA, FFARCSI, FCPS (Hon)
Prof. Syed Tipu Sultan is currently serving as Chancellor, Malir University of Sciences & Technology (MUST), Malir, Karachi as well as Head, Dept. of Anesthesiology, Sindh Institute of Reproductive Medicine (SIRM), Karachi. He has served as Head, Dept. of Anesthesiology as well as medical superintendent at Civil Hospital Karachi, and also had the honor to serve as principal of Dow Medical College and Bahria University Medical & Dental College, Karachi, as well as dean of the Faculty of Anesthesiology, CPSP. He remained President PMA (Centre & Karachi) After finishing MBBS, Dr Sultan completed his house job and then left for England, securing a training position at Charing Cross Hospital London. In 1976, he passed his FFARCS examination and returned back to be appointed as assistant professor at Civil Hospital and Dow Medical College. He played a key role in establishing SICU at Civil Hospital. He also served at Sindh Institute for Urology and Transplantation. He is Patron of PSA. |

Yasuhiro Morimoto, MD (Japan) Yasuhiro Morimoto qualified as MD from Yamaguchi University (Japan) in 1988. He studied ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in 2006 at Yamaguchi University Medical Hospital. In 2007, he began to work at Ube Industries Central Hospital. In 2007, he received Investigator’s Award of Japan Society of Anesthesiologists for his research on EEG monitoring during general anesthesia. His main interests are in ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block techniques for orthopedic surgery including TKA and ACL reconstruction.
